Estelle Rose-Koga is a CNRS Research Scientist. She arrived at the Laboratoire Magmas et Volcans (LMV) of Université Clermont Auvergne, France in 2005.
She obtained her PhD from Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine, Centre de Recherches Pétrographiques et Géochimiques (CRPG), Nancy, France. She did her Post-Doc in Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, USA. Her research has also led her in laboratories from Okayama University (Misasa, Japan) and Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS, France), before joining the LMV.
Her research expertise includes geochemistry of mantle derived magmas as well as boron isotope in atmosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere. She uses extensively secondary ion mass spectrometers (SIMS), electron microprobe (EMP) and laser ablation inductively couple mass spectrometer (LAICPMS), on small objects such as melt inclusions, sulfides, and minerals. Her current interest is on the tracing volatile components in arc magmas, MORB, and OIB using boron, lead, and sulfur isotopes as well as magmatic volatile element abundances. Her research collaborations includes scientists from Europe, Japan, USA and South America.
