Co-sponsored by the EAG, the Groundwater Arsenic Research Days (GARD2026) will take place 22-26 November at Monte Verità in Ascona, Switzerland.

Geogenic arsenic contamination of groundwater remains a severe health threat to millions worldwide. We invite experts and early-career researchers to join us in advancing innovative prediction and mitigation strategies.

Scholarships are available for early-career scientists based in low- and middle-income countries, sponsored by the EAG. Application deadline: 1 July

EAG-GS Outreach Lecturer Wraps Up 2025-26 Program

The EAG-GS Outreach Program is a partnership between the two societies to promote geochemistry in under-represented regions of the world. Over the last nine months, Julio Sepúlveda of the University of Colorado Boulder has traveled to Chile, Colombia, Panamá, and Peru to lead seminars on organic geochemistry and oceanography.

The EAG Student Sponsorship Program supports onsite participation at events held in Europe, or online participation at events held anywhere in the world. Successful applicants will receive sponsorship of up to 1000 euros to cover registration, abstract fees, and travel expenses where applicable. Applicants may be based in any country.

EAGE Short Course: Structural Geology Must Knows, early registration 30 June

This new EAGE course by Dr Pascal D. Richard is a 3 day in-person course at the Hague, Netherlands to be held on the 1-3 September. The objective of the course is to cover the structural geology concepts that all geoscientists need to know in order to build or validate static models and carry out fault interpretation.

The Mineralogical Society’s 150th Anniversary Meeting 23-25 June, Manchester

In 2026 the Mineralogical Society of the UK and Ireland will celebrate its 150th anniversary, with a celebratory conference at the University of Manchester "The Mineralogical Society at 150: Past Discoveries and Future Frontiers".
