Latest Elements:Himalayan Leucogranites

Himalayan leucogranites crop out intermittently over 2000 km along the Himalayan crest in the Himalayan-Tibetan plateau. They constitute some of the most well-studied granites in the world. They are considered to be purely crustal-derived melts and indicators of collisional orogenesis, and have greatly improved our general understanding of crustal anatexis, differentiation of felsic magmas, and tectonic evolution of the Himalayan-Tibetan Orogen. They provide a rare opportunity...

All EAG members have online access to current and past issues of Elements. Members who have selected to receive print copies of Elements, will shortly receive the latest issue by post.

Expression of Interest - Submitting to AGC

Advances in Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry is a Diamond Open Access Journal (Free to read - Free to publish) that aims to publish innovative and globally relevant articles in Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry. Regional studies put in the context of a wider research question will also be considered.

AGC is planning to open for submission in January 2025. In order to plan its initial workload, we encourage researchers to register their interest in submitting their work to AGC using an online form. Registering interest is not a pre-requisite for submission.

The extent of liquid immiscibility in planetesimal cores

We report results of experiments in the system Fe0.9Ni0.1, S, P, C, O, which constrain the extent of liquid immiscibility in planetesimal cores. Immiscibility results in segregation of Fe-rich (P-rich, C-rich) and FeS-rich...
