Goldschmidt 2026

Goldschmidt 2026: Session and workshop proposals closing tomorrow

We invite the entire geochemistry community to submit suggestions for sessions and workshops to help create another great Goldschmidt conference.

Review the list of themes to determine the best one for your proposed session. Sessions should aim to attract at least 25-30 abstract submissions.

We welcome proposals for workshops to be held in Montréal before the conference. Learn more about organizing a workshop.

The deadline for proposals is 15 October.

Elements latest issue "Re-Os – Clock with Clout"

The Re-Os radiometric isotope system features two of silicate Earth’s rarest elements. This couple’s unique combination of siderophile, chalcophile, and organophile properties allows it to play an outsized role, both as a geochronometer and as a source tracer, answering questions that cannot be addressed by other radiometric systems. Successive analytical breakthroughs have led to increasingly challenging and original applications that are reviewed in this issue of Elements. The Re-Os system tells us about Earth’s accretion and the evolution of the convecting and lithospheric mantle over time...

All EAG members have online access to current and past issues of Elements. Members who have selected to receive print copies of Elements, will receive the latest issue by post (new and current members please verify and update your preferences and postal address in the EAG Membership platform if needed by 7 November).
