Goldschmidt2025

Join the Blogging Team

Whether you are a first-time attendee or a more experienced conference-goer, if you are interested in sharing some of your experiences at Goldschmidt on the EAG Blog, we'd love to have you on board. A free ticket for the Early Career Mixer will be offered to each of our bloggers.
Contact the EAG Office to find out more.
Here is what a former blogger shared: "Volunteering as a Blogger for Goldschmidt gave me the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with scientists I deeply admire, fostering connections I might not have made otherwise. It also allowed me to strengthen my writing skills.

Student Helper Application Deadline

Student helpers contribute to the behind-the-scene work of running the conference. They receive waived registration and a stipend. The application deadline is 31 March. Apply here.
Here is what a former student helper shared: "Being a student helper at Goldschmidt offered me insights into the conference’s inner workings. It allowed me to move beyond the student attendee experience, to expand my network, and develop a deeper appreciation for the collective effort that brings the geochemical community together."

Control of organic matter on metal mineralisation in uranium-rich black shale “Kupferschiefer”

The natural formation of economically important metal sulfides in the geological “Kupferschiefer” system in Central Europe (i.e. its mineralisation) results from a complex and poorly understood interplay of various...

How giant volcanic eruptions alter Earth's climate

[Earth.com] Earth’s climate has never stayed the same. Over millions of years, it has changed due to forces both deep inside the planet and far beyond it. Heat from within the Earth, shifting orbits around the Sun, and volcanic eruptions all shape the...
