Motivation for serving the EAG council
I recently became involved in reviewing larger number of research projects and this experience led me to a conclusion that knowing your subject of study is of a similar importance as knowing who else is working in it. I would see my service in the council as an opportunity to establish new contacts in the geoscience community while offering my expertise as a primarily microbial ecologist interested in large-scale processes.
