Motivation for serving the EAG council

I would like to serve on the EAG council because I think it would be an excellent way to discover and promote opportunities available to geoscientists in Europe. Having worked as a young scientist in several different countries I appreciate the complexities and limits to finding resources, building collaborative networks, and disseminating information, whether it be for scientific or educational purposes.
